Welcome to Wards Karate-Do, we are a West Norfolk based Karate organisation that runs various clubs throughout Kings Lynn, Downham Market and surrounding areas. Downham Market Karate Club is based at Wimbotsham Village Hall and Downham Market School (Ryston end campus). Wiggenhall & Magdalen Karate Club is based at Wiggenhall St Germans Memorial Hall. All our clubs and events are licensed and insured by the West Norfolk Karate Association.

The chief instructor is Sensei Simon Ward (4th Dan) who is assisted by assistant instructors Ian Scott (1st Dan) & Debbie Ward (1st Kyu) and trainee assistant instructor Kevin Shaw (1st Kyu). We operate small and friendly classes that offer weekly sessions based on traditional Shotokan Karate.

Currently we offer Karate classes for students as young as 5 with adult classes that have no upper age limit. We welcome students from all social backgrounds and ethnic origins. Students who attend other Karate clubs are also all welcome to come and train with us. All we ask is that you are willing to try, hopefully learn and push yourself to reach new limits.

2012 Master Classes

Easter - Thursday 12th & Friday 13th April 2012 at Wimbotsham (9am-4pm daily), pre booking with deposit of £20 required

Summer - Monday 6th & Tuesday 7th August 2012 at Wimbotsham (9am-4pm daily), pre booking with deposit £20 required

Each course is £54, book both courses for £49 each. Both courses are open to Karate students aged 8+ (younger students may be accepted at the instructors discression)
